life can be hard when there is a certain schedule we have for college, but don't sweat there are plenty of ways to fit your workouts into your busy schedule. What I found best for me is by maximizing efficency with short but intense workout routines you can squeeze in anywhere. Body weight HIIT circuits do the job so well like push-ups, jump squats(booty gainz), planks etc. and it can make you feel so sweaty after only doing it for 15 minutes. I'd also recommend getting a resistance band. These help out so much with targeting certain muscle groups and you wouldn't even need heavy weights or bulky equipment since its so lightweight and doesn't require that much space so its perfect for the dorm. Plus I found them super affordable and I've watched lots of Pilate Influencers use the resistance bands into their exercises and it honestly tones up any muscle from arms to legs etc. The Pilates body book has some great insight on building your ideal toned body with resistance bands. There are honestly many ways to go about these exercises and the most sustainable ones can actually make you feel enjoyable.

Developing habits is crucial too, while it's easy to view exercise as another chore, creating habits can change you up for a lifetime (healthy ones). Don't just assume you're trying to lose weight or build muscle. Regular physical activities can also increase your mood swings from endorphins that we receive, improves our sleep patterns and increases energy levels. I found it helpful by exercising with a friend that also worked out. We both kept each other accountable and made exercise a social highlight of our day. A few great books that have helped me understand how habits work better is "atomic Habits", "The power of habit", "better than before" I discovered things that can dive into more valuable insights on habit tracking and discipline>motivation. As college students being organized and staying on top of things is also important. So remember while these books provide good insight find a habit tracking method that works best for you, personally I find it nice to have a habit calendar where I can mark and write things down or even just a regular journal that works too:)

The hardest part with exercising for many is simply just starting. Many of us will say phrases like " I'll go tomorrow" or "next time" or "someday" but if you start today you don't understand how you can change your whole life around because you decided to simply start. On busy weeks, something is always better than nothing for example walks are great low intense activity. Biking to class instead of driving your car, doing squats while watching your favorite TV show, or taking the stairs to class instead of using the elevator will keep you in more shape rather than cutting to the shortcuts. Consistency is key, so start small with just doing 2-3 sessions and find what's more enjoyable to you cause I'm sure you want to do something with passion rather than force. You will notice in a month or so that exercise becomes an ingrained part of your routine
